Job summary

Torch is a rapidly growing SaaS healthcare software company seeking a Senior Tech Lead & Software Engineer in New York. You will drive the evolution of a commerce platform serving thousands of dental practices nationwide, owning technical strategy, execution, and measurable business outcomes.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, and Ops, building scalable, intelligent systems and enabling automated workflows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional engineering experience delivering product outcomes.
• Strong experience across stack with Python, Node.js, or Java and modern frontend frameworks when needed.
• Proven ability to own features end-to-end from discovery to delivery and iteration.
• Familiarity with web frameworks such as Flask, Express, Rails, or similar.
• Product-minded and focused on impactful user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Drive features from ideation to delivery with cross-functional teams.
• Own full-stack experiences aligning backend and frontend for measurable impact.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines across systems for product and pricing data.
• Integrate automation and LLM tooling to improve efficiency and UX.
• Contribute to frontend patterns and design systems as needed.
• Mentor engineers and shape architectural direction.
