Torch is building an AI-powered RCM product and a Marketplace in New York. We seek a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a frontend tilt to shape user experiences for dental practices and marketplaces, collaborating with product, business, and engineering teams.

You’ll own features end-to-end, contribute to backend APIs with Python and FastAPI, and apply AI-driven workflows. Strong frontend discipline and cross-functional teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with a strong frontend focus.
• Deep expertise in React and TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of UI fundamentals — layout, performance, and state management.
• Hands-on experience with TanStack Router and TanStack Query.
• Backend range to build and maintain Python/FastAPI endpoints and data models.
• Familiarity with coding agents and can articulate their workflow.

Responsibilities

• Build frontend experiences in React and TypeScript.
• Own features end-to-end — from components to deployment.
• Contribute to backend APIs with Python and FastAPI.
• Collaborate with product and stakeholders to translate requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.
• Mentor engineers and promote frontend quality.
• Work across two frontend contexts: React/TypeScript SPA and Django app.
