Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• A valid Alabama Teacher's Certificate.
• Must meet ESSA federal and state requirements or a willingness to meet the requirements.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technology to plan and provide instruction and facilitate student learning.
• Model appropriate and innovative use of technology for students
• Facilitate and monitor the integration of technology in the classroom
• Provide modifications for students with special needs, including ESE students and EL students
• Select, develop, modify and/or adapt materials and resources which support learning objectives
• Establish routines and uses appropriate behavior management procedures
• Participate in administration of local and state testing as assigned
• Use formative and summative assessment to monitor student progress and inform instruction
• Communicate high learning expectations and setting real-world targets
• Use techniques to enhance critical, creative and evaluative thinking
• Provide instruction on safety procedures and proper handling of materials
• Foster student responsibility, cultural diversity, and respect for self and others
• Supervise and/or assist with extracurricular activities as assigned
• Support school improvement initiatives through participation in activities and events
• Engage in professional growth and adhere to professional standards
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student/school matters
• Demonstrate initiative for improvement
• Maintain and submit required reports accurately
• Care for equipment and materials
• Adhere to school policies and laws
• Report absences and arrange substitutes
• Perform other duties as assigned
