Job summary

The Town of Apple Valley is seeking an IT professional to administer hardware and software systems, networks, ERP, databases, GIS, and related technologies under general direction. This role will ensure security, maintenance, and support of the town's technology and electronic data.

Required qualifications include an Associate degree and five years of IT experience; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Evening or weekend work and on-call availability may be needed for projects and meetings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate degree in information technology, computer science, business administration, GIS, or a related field.
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible IT experience with administration and support of enterprise applications, networks, or GIS.
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field or possession within probationary period (12 months) is desired.
• Experience in local government is preferred; a combination of additional experience and industry certifications may substitute for degree requirements.

Responsibilities

• Administers all aspects of hardware and software systems as assigned, including network, telecommunications, ERP, databases, and GIS.
• Secures, maintains, and supports the Town's technology and electronic data.
• May be required to work Council/Commission meetings, after-hours/weekends for projects, or be on-call.

Education
