Job summary

Walnut Valley Water District in California is seeking an Information Technology Specialist to support our enterprise IT environment, including network, applications, and security. The role focuses on maintaining systems, providing user support, and coordinating with external vendors.

You will install software, manage devices, configure VPN access, and help protect district data while promoting reliable technology services for employees and the public.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or related field.
• Security+ certification required; A+/Network+/Server+ desirable.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint and SQL databases.
• Knowledge of VPNs, firewalls and cybersecurity best practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot IT systems, including network, applications and data security.
• Provide user support and training, in person and over the phone.
• Install software and configure workstations and devices.
• Manage remote access and VPN for the district workforce.
• Collaborate with IT manager and external vendors on upgrades and projects.
