Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services seeks a Technology Innovation Software Development Manager to lead a team of developers and innovation specialists. You will coordinate with IT, data, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure, scalable software solutions and own the delivery lifecycle from requirements to deployment.

You will mentor staff, manage backlogs, and drive high-quality deliverables while aligning with firmwide technology standards and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/IS or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 6+ years software development, with 1–2 years leading a team.
• Experience delivering software through full life cycle.
• Strong communication, ability to translate requirements to tasks.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and CI/CD tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day work of a software development team and prioritize tasks.
• Own the software development lifecycle for assigned products.
• Mentor developers through code reviews and pairing; enforce standards.
• Oversee project execution ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Conduct demos and progress updates for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT, networking, cybersecurity, and data teams.
• Support testing, QA, and bug triage to ensure quality.
• Maintain development tooling and CI/CD pipelines.
• Onboard and train new developers on tools and processes.
