Job summary

State of Connecticut - CT Technical Ed and Career Sys is seeking two paraeducators to support certified staff at Platt Technical High School in Milford, CT. You will provide individualized or small-group assistance, reinforce instruction, and help with data collection under teacher supervision.

Responsibilities include classroom supervision, implementing IEP accommodations, assisting with shop and academic activities, and promoting safe, supportive learning environments.

Qualifications

• Two years of college training or an Associate’s degree.
• Passing ParaPro Assessment may be substituted for the General Experience.
• Experience with IEP accommodations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic, technical, and organizational support to students individually and in groups.
• Assist certified staff with instructional activities, classroom preparation, assessments, and data collection.
• Support classroom management and help maintain safe, orderly learning environments.
• Supervise students in classrooms, technical areas, common spaces, and during school activities.
• Promote safe practices and proper use of tools, equipment, and learning materials.
