Job summary

The State of Connecticut, acting through the Connecticut Technical Education and Career System, is seeking two paraeducators to support certified staff at a Milford high school. The role emphasizes individualized and small‑group assistance to boost student learning and success, under teacher supervision.

You will reinforce instruction in classrooms and shops, help implement IEP accommodations, collect progress data, and support student organization and self‑regulation while maintaining safe,

Qualifications

• Two years of college training or an Associate’s degree.
• ParaPro assessment may substitute for general experience.
• Experience with supporting students with disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and organizational support to students individually and in groups.
• Assist certified staff with instructional activities, classroom preparation, assessments, and data collection.
• Support classroom management and help maintain safe, orderly learning environments.
• Supervise students in classrooms, technical areas, common spaces, and during school activities.
• Promote safe practices and proper use of tools, equipment, and learning materials.
• Support students with diverse learning needs, including implementing IEP accommodations.
