Job summary

Frederick County Government is seeking a proactive professional to develop and manage business development and retention programs in the technology sector. You will be the primary liaison for companies seeking expansion support, workforce and permitting guidance, and incentives coordination.

The role involves research on labor trends, preparing RFPS responses, and collaborating with county and state entities to drive economic growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economic development, marketing or related field.
5 years of experience in business administration, public administration, or a related field.
Substitutions for education/experience include a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with technology companies, industry organizations and associations, educational institutions, and relevant agencies.
Develop and execute BR&E programs to support growth of local companies in the technology sector.
Serve as primary contact for technology companies seeking assistance with expansion, workforce, permitting, incentives, financing and operational challenges.
Conduct research and analysis related to labor market trends, demographics, and industry activity to support decision-making.
Prepare responses to RFPS with detailed research, data analysis and target marketing materials.
