Job summary
Essenti Talent in Northwest Indiana is seeking a Board-certified/eligible Psychiatrist for outpatient care in East Chicago, IN. This full-time, permanent role offers a balanced schedule, typically Monday–Friday with occasional weekend/holiday rounding, and a chance to design a practice in a tech-forward, HIMSS Stage VII facility.
You will perform evaluations, prescribe medications, collaborate with primary care and behavioral health teams, and maintain high-quality EMR documentation to support
Qualifications
- Board certified or board eligible by ABPN with a plan for certification within a specified timeframe.
- Unrestricted Indiana medical license and CSR/DEA registration or eligibility.
- Experience with or aptitude for EPIC EMR and AI-assisted documentation tools.
- Strong communication skills and EMR proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, evaluating efficacy and side effects.
- Utilize psychotherapeutic methods with pharmacological treatment for mental health conditions.
- Collaborate with primary care, social work, and nursing teams for integrated care.
- Maintain accurate EMR and participate in clinical quality reviews to enhance safety.
