Universal Health Services seeks an ER Technician to support emergency department care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role involves following the care plan, addressing patient needs, and ensuring smooth patient flow across all ages in a fast-paced ED.
Requirements include High School diploma, current BLS, CPI within 30 days, and credentials such as EMT/CNA/MA or RN coursework in progress. Dysrhythmia certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Reporting to the Director of Emergency Services, the ER Technician is responsible for administering patient care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. The technician follows the plan of care set by the registered nurse and/or physician, managing the individual needs of patients with regard to their age and clinical diagnosis. The technician performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties in the Emergency Department to ensure and maintain smooth patient flow. The ER Technician has specialized skills and knowledge in Emergency Care for all patients from infancy through geriatric.
