Universal Health Services in California seeks an ER Technician to provide patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. You will follow the plan of care and address patient needs across all ages, assisting with direct and indirect tasks to keep the Emergency Department running smoothly.
The role requires BLS, CPI within 90 days, and an EMT/CNA/Medical Assistant credential (or RN coursework). Dysrhythmia certification should be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Emergency Room (ER) Technician reporting to the Director of Emergency Services is responsible for administering patient care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. The ER Technician follows the plan of care set by the registered nurse and/or physician, managing the individual needs of the patient with regards to their age and clinical diagnosis. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties in the Emergency Department to ensure and maintain smooth patient flow. The ER Technician has specialized skills and knowledge in Emergency Care for all patients from infancy through geriatric.
