Universal Health Services is seeking an ER Technician to assist in the Emergency Department under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. The role emphasizes direct and indirect patient care, following the prescribed care plan, and ensuring smooth patient flow across age groups from infants to the elderly.
The position requires BLS, CPI within 90 days, and credentials such as EMT, CNA, or Medical Assistant, or enrollment in an RN program with clinical coursework.
Reporting to the Director of Emergency Services the ER Technician is responsible to administer patient care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Follows the plan of care set by the registered nurse and/or physician, managing the individual needs of the patient with regards to their age and clinical diagnosis. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties in the Emergency Department in order to ensure and maintaining smooth patient flow. The E.R. Technician has specialized skills and knowledge in Emergency Care for all patients from infancy through geriatric.
