Job summary

Huntington Bank is seeking an Engineer Lead to drive technical direction for Java/Spring Boot back-end and React front-end initiatives. You will architect RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven components within open-system platforms, while mentoring engineers and guiding modernization efforts.

You will partner with Architects, Product Owners, and DevOps to deliver scalable, secure, compliant banking applications, leveraging CI/CD and cloud-native practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in software engineering.
• 5+ years of software engineering and enterprise app development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for design, development, and support of enterprise apps.
• Lead the development of scalable, secure full-stack apps and microservices.
• Define RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems aligned with enterprise standards.
• Mentor engineers and guide cross-team technical decisions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and ensure quality through automated testing.
• Drive DevOps adoption, CI/CD, and observability practices.
