Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking a hands-on software engineer to help build enterprise APIs under the guidance of our architect. You will work on RESTful services in Java/Spring Boot, contribute to DevOps practices, and support cloud-enabled deployments across on-prem and cloud environments.

Responsibilities include designing scalable API layers, assisting with system design, and advancing our migration toward Kafka and container-based architectures while aligning with our continuous delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related Field
• 1-3+ years of related software development experience creating interfaces between data sources and applications
• 1+ years of experience with DevOps
• 1-3+ years Strong Java development experience with Spring, Eclipse, Maven, Gradle
• 1-3+ years of experience developing application interfaces (API) with Java or similar OO languages

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and architects to create a common API layer between data sources and applications in an agile model.
• Develop software in an environment leveraging DevOps for automated builds, deployment, and testing.
• Play a key role implementing enterprise services and APIs under architectural leadership.
• Deliver scalable solutions meeting business needs; develop unit tests and automated test scripts.
• Work with engineers, vendors and business owners to ensure solutions meet needs.
• Follow agile software design methodologies; embrace new technologies and methods.
• Maintain and evolve existing integration assets and processes.
• Evolve Huntington’s integration development and operation of key platforms.
