Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy in Tulsa, Oklahoma is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role focuses on accurate data entry, prescription processing, and responsive customer communication to support high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include handling new and refill prescriptions, triaging faxes, dosage verification, and collaborating with doctors and team members to ensure timely dispensing and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (per state requirements).
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements); National Certification preferred (PTCB).

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into operating system in accurate and timely manner to eliminate errors at dispensing.
• Triage incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely dispensing.
• Ensure proper notes in computer and cycle fill coding.
• Calculate and verify the correct dosage based on the prescription.
• Demonstrate caring, understanding and courtesy when responding to calls from customers.
• Ensure all prescriptions assigned for processing are completed in regular shift.
• Receive, evaluate, process and follow-up with doctors’ offices on all refills assigned.
• Troubleshoot, research and resolve customer service issues.
• Exercise proficiency in the utilization of all pharmacy systems (document imaging, legacy pharmacy OS).
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth workflow in data entry department.
• Understand & exercise proficiency in Cycle to meet delivery deadlines; maintain data entry records.
• Consistently meet pharmacy's established accuracy and productivity levels.
• May assist with filing, packaging, inventory and other duties as needed.
