Responsibilities
- Enter new and refill prescriptions into operating system accurately and timely.
- Triage incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely dispensing.
- Ensure proper notes in computer and cycle fill coding.
- Calculate and verify the correct dosage based on the prescription.
- Respond to customer calls with care and route to appropriate staff.
- Complete prescribed tasks within regular shift and meet deadlines.
- Communicate with doctors’ offices on refills and follow up as needed.
- Develop proficiency in all pharmacy systems (document imaging, legacy OS).
- Assist with filing, packaging, inventory, and order processing as needed.
- Learn and adapt cycles to meet delivery deadlines and maintain records.
