Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy, LLC in Tulsa, Oklahoma is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to enter and process prescriptions in our long-term care pharmacy setting. You will triage faxes, ensure accurate notes and cycle fill coding, and maintain timely communication with doctors to support exemplary patient service.

Required are a High School Diploma or GED, state license/certification as a Pharmacy Technician, and 3+ years of related experience including data entry.

Qualifications

• 3+ years related experience including a minimum of 6 months Data Entry experience in a long term or managed care setting.
• Proficient in the utilization of all pharmacy systems (document imaging, legacy pharmacy computer operating system).
• Knowledge of Brand Name/Generic medications and Sig codes.
• Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into operating system in accurate and timely manner to eliminate errors at dispensing.
• Triage incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely dispensing.
• Ensure proper notes in computer and cycle fill coding.
• Calculate and/or verify the correct dosage based on the prescription.
• Respond promptly and courteously to customer calls and route as appropriate.
• Complete assigned processing within regular shift.
• Coordinate with doctors' offices on refills and follow-up.
• Troubleshoot, research and resolve customer service issues.
• Utilize all pharmacy systems effectively (imaging, legacy system).
• Collaborate with team to maintain smooth data entry workflow.
• Understand and operate Cycle to meet delivery deadlines; maintain records.
• Maintain established accuracy and productivity levels.
• May assist with filing, packing, inventory and medical records as needed.
