Job summary

Century Distribution Systems, Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking a Customer Tech Delivery Specialist to bridge customer-facing and IT teams. You will turn requests into build-ready requirements, configure SCM software, and test solutions before release, with occasional remote work flexibility.

You will analyze data using SQL, coordinate with product and support teams, and document solutions in the knowledge base. Prior experience with Jira/Confluence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Experience turning business needs into written requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Working knowledge of SQL and data analysis for troubleshooting and validation.
• Familiarity with data exchange formats such as X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON or delimited files.
• Experience testing software and documenting results, plus comfort using Jira and Confluence.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with a courteous, responsive approach to customers and colleagues.
• Willingness to use AI tools responsibly, including data privacy and security policies.

Responsibilities

• Review requests for features, reports, data interfaces, and configuration changes and clarify scope.
• Translate business requirements into development tasks in Jira with acceptance criteria and tests.
• Provide effort estimates and assist with statements of work when approved.
• Investigate issues in the transportation and supply chain platform and propose fixes.
• Analyze customer data exchanges in X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON, and delimited formats and define interfaces.
• Use SQL and data analysis to research issues and validate data.
• Plan and run feature, integration, and user acceptance testing and document results in Jira/Confluence.
• Promote AI-assisted work while ensuring accuracy and reducing manual tasks.
• Collaborate with account management, support, implementation, operations and product teams.
• Document solutions and configurations in the knowledge base and share with teams.
