Job Summary:

JCS Solutions has a need for a Tech Control Technician to join our growing Cyber Support Center (CySC) team to collaborate and work in coordination with other Tech Controllers personnel within the National Capital Region. The position is 100% on-site at Joint Base Andrews. What you will do:

The specific duties include but are not necessarily limited to the following:

  • Perform engineering for new circuit installations, modifications, and deactivations.
  • Provide technical and operational support to end-user services, network expansions, and modernization of telecommunications backbone systems.
  • Provide problem resolution for all hardware and software elements of the data communication circuits maintained by the work center to include Commercial and GFE owned networks.
  • Provide outage and restoration information as required, including restore times.
  • Ensure the availability of the circuits in coordination with other work centers as required.
  • Perform status updates and circuit monitoring as required.
  • Be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be technically strong and able to make quick, sound decisions.
  • Maintain excellent communication and collaboration skills.

What you will bring:

  • An active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Valid DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAM II certification (e.g., current Security+ certification)
  • A bachelor’s degree
  • Education and experience may be substituted with:
    • A master’s degree and the ability to attain a Security+ce or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT level II certification within 6 months.
    • No degree with 6 years of relevant experience demonstrating proficiency and a current Security+ce or equivalent certification.

This position requires a minimum of two years’ relevant experience. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, with a positive customer service attitude. Strong multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Knowledge of Air Force, Pentagon, and/or AFNCR is a plus.
