Job summary

Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri, seeks a dedicated Mental Health Tech (MHT) for the Parkview Geriatric Wellness Center. You will provide compassionate care to adults 50+ facing behavioral health challenges, support daily comfort, and assist with treatment plans as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include rounds for patient comfort, accurate documentation, and safeguarding belongings during admission, with expected strong communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma preferred.
• Experience: prefer labor and delivery and postpartum experience.
• Skills: Good Communication, Patience, Attention to detail, flexibility, Intrapersonal Skills.
• Licensure/Certification: BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR (assistance with obtaining within 6 months).
• Physical Requirements: Stand 90% of shift; lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assuring patient comfort measures by performing frequent rounds and anticipating needs.
• Documenting in-patient and departmental records timely and accurately.
• Assisting with management of patient personal belongings during admission.
• Reading, utilizing, and following the treatment plan as directed by the multidisciplinary team.

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is hiring a Mental Health Tech (MHT)in Parkview Geriatric Wellness departmentin Bolivar, Missouri— someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve.

What Your Day Looks Like:

Parkview Geriatric Wellness Center provides specialized behavioral health and wellness services for adults ages 50 and older experiencing challenges such as depression, anxiety, memory concerns, grief, loneliness, or changes in behavior.

As a Mental Health Tech (MHT), you will be:

• Assuring patient comfort measures are met by performing frequent rounds on patients and anticipating patient needs.
• Documentingin-patient and departmental records in a timely, accurate, and concise manner.
• Assistingwith the management of patient personal belongings throughout all aspects of patient admission.
• Reading,utilizing, and providingcare based on the treatment plan and/or as instructed by the multi-disciplinary treatment team.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma (preferred).

Experience: We prefer someone with labor and delivery as well as postpartum experience.

Skills: Good Communication, Patience, Attention to detail, flexibility, Intrapersonal Skills.

Licensure/Certification: BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR (we assist with obtaining this) within 6 months of employment

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for 90% of the shift and sit for the remaining 10% of the shift. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
