Job summary

Universal Hospital Services Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Counseling Technician (BCT) to join the treatment team in a pediatric behavioral health setting. The role involves ongoing patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling for patients from preschool through adolescence depending on unit assignment.

The BCT operates under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Requirements include a High School Diploma, a valid driver's license, CPR certification, and Crisis Intervention Training

Qualifications

• Experience in behavioral health or related field required.
• Experience with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients.
• Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

• 500 Sign-On Bonus
• Minimum Start rate $16 an hour - based on experience
• Base Rate + shift differentials up to $3 depending on shift.
• Experience in behavioral health or related field required. Experience with children preferred.

Qualifications

The Behavioral Counseling Technician (BCT) functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from preschool through adolescent depending on which unit worked. Behavioral Counseling Technicians work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Licensure

Must maintain a valid driver's license in the applicable state.

Additional Requirements

CPR Certification and successful completion of Crisis Intervention Training (CPI) including appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint immediately followingemployment and prior to performing patient care.
