Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. in Youngstown, OH is seeking a Behavioral Counseling Technician to join the treatment team, delivering continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to pediatric and adolescent patients under RN supervision.

This temporary, part-time role offers great benefits and the possibility to move to full-time; requires High School Diploma, CPR, CPI training, valid driver's license, and experience in behavioral health with children preferred.

Qualifications

The Behavioral Counseling Technician (BCT) functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from preschool through adolescent depending on which unit worked. Behavioral Counseling Technicians work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Education: High School Diploma

Experience: Experience in behavioral health or related field required. Experience with children preferred.

Licensure: Must maintain a valid driver's license in the applicable state.

Additional Requirements: CPR Certification and successful completion of Crisis Intervention Training (CPI) including appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint immediately followingemployment and prior to performing patient care.
