Job summary

Belmont Pines in Youngstown, OH seeks a Behavioral Counseling Technician to join the treatment team. You will provide continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to children and adolescents under RN supervision.

Requirements: High School Diploma, behavioral health experience (child experience preferred), valid driver’s license, CPR certification, and CPI training. This is a temporary position with the potential to become full-time with benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience in behavioral health or related field required. Experience with children preferred.
• Licensure: Must maintain a valid driver's license.
• Additional Requirements: CPR Certification and CPI training required.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

The Behavioral Counseling Technician (BCT) functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from preschool through adolescent depending on which unit worked. Behavioral Counseling Technicians work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Education: High School Diploma

Experience: Experience in behavioral health or related field required. Experience with children preferred.

Licensure: Must maintain a valid driver's license in the applicable state.

Additional Requirements: CPR Certification and successful completion of Crisis Intervention Training (CPI) including appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint immediately followingemployment and prior to performing patient care.
