Job summary

WithumSmith+Brown, PC in Los Angeles or San Francisco seeks a Tech Audit Senior to lead audit engagements, supervise staff, and coordinate planning to deliver top-tier client service. You will oversee risk assessment, fieldwork, and financial reporting, collaborating with partners to resolve complex accounting issues and build strong client relationships while traveling as needed.

You’ll work with seasoned CPAs and industry leaders as part of an integrated team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• Licensed CPA, or working towards CPA certification.
• At least 2 years of public accounting experience with leadership of multiple engagements.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including familiarity with US GAAP.
• Strong client service and communication abilities with proven relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced, interactive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engagement team on planning and execution of audit, review or compilation engagements.
• Oversee day-to-day operations from staffing to risk assessment, fieldwork and reporting.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to staff and communicate with managers and partners.
• Collaborate on client issue resolutions and advise on regulatory and accounting matters.
• Review general ledger accounts for accuracy and manage multiple engagements to deadlines.
• Create and monitor engagement budgets and discuss improvements with the team.
• Engage in professional development activities as an instructor or discussion leader.
