Duties will include, but are not limited to:* Advising producers on building and equipment specifications, litter management and farm sanitation.* Visiting farms to document bird comfort, manage flock and equipment/lighting settings, monitor bird health, and provide direction/recommendations.* Monitoring feed consumption and ordering* Pulling blood and fat samples as required* Coordinating chick placements to farms* Assisting with catch schedules* Ensuring communication among Hatchery, Feed Mill, and Live Haul departments regarding assigned contract farms.* Ensuring compliance with the production contract to optimize flock quality and minimize costs.* Ensuring adherence to all USDA and other government regulations regarding poultry handling.* Working with the Broiler and Breeder Departments in coordinating weekly chick placements* Performing other responsibilities as the need arises.**Requirements****Education:** Bachelor’s degree in an agricultural field or equivalent experience relevant to the position preferred.**Experience:** 1+ years’ experience in a poultry or agriculture-related field preferred.**Strong Communication Skills:** Ability to convey information clearly and effectively through both verbal and written means. Proficiency in active listening, ensuring mutual understanding, and adapting communication style to various audiences.**Computer Skills:** Basic computer skills such as checking electronic mail, entering data into document templates, or creating simple queries.**Travel:** 1 to 5 out-of-complex trips per year.
