Duties will include, but are not limited to:* Advising producers on building and equipment specifications, litter management and farm sanitation.* Visiting farms to document bird comfort, manage flock and equipment/lighting settings, monitor bird health, and provide direction/recommendations.* Monitoring feed consumption and ordering* Pulling blood and fat samples as required* Coordinating chick placements to farms* Assisting with catch schedules* Ensuring communication among Hatchery, Feed Mill, and Live Haul departments regarding assigned contract farms.* Ensuring compliance with the production contract to optimize flock quality and minimize costs.* Ensuring adherence to all USDA and other government regulations regarding poultry handling.* Working with the Broiler and Breeder Departments in coordinating weekly chick placements* Performing other responsibilities as the need arises.**It is highly recommended that you attach a resume in Word or PDF format.****Requirements****Education:** Bachelor’s degree in an agricultural field or equivalent experience relevant to the position preferred.**Experience:** 1+ years’ experience in a poultry or agriculture-related field preferred.**Strong Communication Skills:** Ability to convey information clearly and effectively through both verbal and written means.
