Job summary

VIP Tires & Service is seeking an Installation Technician in Brewer, ME. The role focuses on tire services, oil changes, under-hood maintenance, MPIs, wheel alignments, and preventive maintenance, performed safely and accurately in a fast-paced shop.

You will follow VIP procedures, maintain service orders, participate in safety programs, and complete required LMS trainings and ASE certifications. Expect a 5-day, 40-hour work week in a non-exempt hourly role.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journal and procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Explain vehicle information to customers, present and respond to questions from coworkers.
• Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems.
• Interpret, understand, and apply instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to successfully perform required types of automotive services listed above.

Responsibilities

• Provide automotive repair and maintenance services including tire services, oil changes, under-hood services, MPIs, wheel alignments and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure a valid Service Work Order is initiated and displayed during service.
• Complete MPIs and support the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process.
• Manage parts with the Desk Team and return unused parts.
• Maintain shop safety, cleanliness, and equipment.
• Complete required LMS training and certifications including ASE.
• Road test vehicles after service when needed.
