Job summary

University of Central Florida seeks a Unified Communications Engineer II to support enterprise voice and collaboration services across campus. You will administer Teams Phone, Direct Routing, SBCs, and voice gateways, while ensuring reliable calling, migration support, and well-documented project work.

Work under the Senior Engineer, coordinating incidents via ServiceNow and delivering technical demonstrations for departments adopting new communications. On-site position with UCF IT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma and 6 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience administering Microsoft Teams and Teams Phone preferred.
• Knowledge of E911 requirements and emergency calling configurations.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support voice gateways, including SIP, MGCP, and analog gateway technologies.
• Implement changes on SBCs and Direct Routing connections.
• Administer and support Teams collaboration and calling services; including Teams Phone, chat, channels, meetings, auto attendants, call queues, voicemail, and numbers.
• Monitor service health, call quality, and maintain documentation.
• Diagnose and resolve calling, meeting, call routing, and platform issues.
• Support user migrations and post-migration validation.
