Job summary

Hope House Foundation in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Team Coordinator to lead a team of Direct Support Professionals and ensure person-centered services for adults with developmental disabilities. You will champion teamwork, coach staff, and maintain high standards of care.

You will coordinate staffing, scheduling, payroll, billing, and documentation while promoting a positive team culture and ongoing staff development. This is a full-time, on-site role with meaningful community impact.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; advanced degree in Human Services preferred
• Experience in human services or related field; supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead and motivate a team
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in community or residential settings
• Commitment to person-centered practices and daily living support strategies
• Ability to handle confidential information and crisis situations calmly and professionally

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m. | On-Call | Exempt

Team Coordinatorope House Foundation is seeking a Team Coordinator to provide leadership and support to a team of Direct Support Professionals while helping ensure high-quality, person-centered services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. • Experience in human services or a related field (1+ year preferred in a supervisory or leadership role)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team
• Demonstrated ability to support individuals with developmental disabilities in community or residential settings
• Open to person-centered practices and daily living support strategies
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, remain calm under pressure, and respond to crisis situations professionally
• Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills
• Comfortable using technology for documentation, scheduling, and communication (e.g., basic computer skills, electronic records)
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field preferred
• Must have a valid driver's license, an acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the job (e.g., lifting, standing, walking, assisting individuals)
• Must meet state and agency background check requirements
