Hope House Foundation in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Team Coordinator to lead a team of Direct Support Professionals and ensure person-centered services for adults with developmental disabilities. You will champion teamwork, coach staff, and maintain high standards of care.

You will coordinate staffing, scheduling, payroll, billing, and documentation while promoting a positive team culture and ongoing staff development. This is a full-time, on-site role with meaningful community impact.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; advanced degree in Human Services preferred
• Experience in human services or related field; supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead and motivate a team
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in community or residential settings
• Commitment to person-centered practices and daily living support strategies
• Ability to handle confidential information and crisis situations calmly and professionally

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
• Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, payroll, billing, and documentation
• Ensure quality services and compliance with Medicaid waiver and licensing requirements
• Support individuals in achieving their goals and staying engaged in their communities
• Lead team meetings and support staff development
• Participate in an on-call rotation and provide leadership during emergencies
• Monitor service quality and drive continuous improvement
