Job summary

Sealed Air is seeking a Night Shift Operator to support our production lines. You will operate high-speed equipment, adjust controls, and follow safety and quality standards to ensure timely delivery of products.

Responsibilities include labeling, packing, and assisting with line feeding, while maintaining accurate production records and adhering to GMP, HACCP, and 6S practices. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use tape measure and basic hand tools.
• Knowledge of GMP/HACCP and food safety preferred.
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment safely and adjust controls as needed.
• Maintain quality by following GMP/HACCP and 6S guidelines.
• Record production logs and inspections accurately.
• Assist with labeling, packing, and line feeding.
• Support maintenance with routine issues.

Job description

Shift: Night - 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM
Shift Premium Amount: $1.00
Pay Rate: $22.55

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists in the safe operation of production equipment to produce quality products by adjusting machine controls for speed, temperature, pressure, etc.
• Understands and adheres to all safety rules and procedures.
• Produces orders on time to satisfy customer needs and production requirements.
• Performs product labeling, packing, wrapping and helping to supply line for production.
• Assists with all required quality inspections, testing, and production documentation.
• Comply with company standards regarding housekeeping and 6S on machines and surrounding areas.
• Adheres to and assists in the implementation of the facility's SQF system requirements, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP principles, and Food Safety Quality system standards.
• Helps perform routine preventative maintenance and assists maintenance personnel as needed on machine related issues.
• Other duties as assigned by plant leadership, production leads, or shift leads.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience operating high speed manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to solve problems and apply critical thinking to processes and equipment.
• Ability to use a tape measure.
• Experience with hand tools.
• Complete production documentation (paper and electronic): Production logs, Quality inspections, Down Time tracking.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
• High awareness toward safety for yourself and others.
• Able to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team or individually.
• Extrusion experience preferred.
• College-level courses or trade school preferred, but not necessary.
• Ability to operate hoists, pallet jacks, and other related equipment is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, and bending.
• Pushing, pulling, lifting at least 40lbs.
• Eye/hand coordination.
