Job summary

America's Thrift Stores in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Processing Team Member to help sort donated items and identify treasures for the sales floor. You'll join a friendly team focused on efficiency, organization, and sustainability.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, physical work with donations, and teamwork. Applicants must be at least 18 and ready to contribute to our mission of giving back to the community while supporting environmental goals.

Qualifications

• Sort donated items and identify great finds.
• Help identify recyclable items and keep items out of the landfill.
• Get those great finds sales floor ready.
• Load and unload carts to move merchandise safely and efficiently.

What Does a Processing Team Member Do Anyway?

• Sort donated items and identify great finds
• Help identify recyclable items. Even if we can't sell it, we keep it out of the landfill
• Get those great finds sales floor ready
• Load and unload carts to get merchandise out safely and efficiently

Whether we are hanging the perfect jeans (thrifting one pairof jeans saves the world 1,800 gallons of water ya know!) or separating out recyclable materials, we combine our passion for customers and community service.
