Job summary

LH Mercantile, LLC in Grayslake, IL, a Pet Supplies Plus franchisee, is hiring a friendly Part-time Team Member to help neighbors and their pets. You’ll provide knowledgeable service, assist with product selection, and support sales initiatives.

This role involves stocking, inventory, and maintaining clean, safe showrooms, plus handling feedings and care for live animals. Weekend and holiday availability required; PTO, weekly pay, employee discount, and career growth opportunities offered.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to neighbors, assist with product selection, answer questions about pet care, and support sales initiatives.
• Greet neighbors (customers), collect neighbor data, follow standard operating procedures for cash handling, returns, and coupon policies, etc.
• Stock shelves, rotate products, maintain displays, and assist with receiving and tracking inventory to ensure accuracy and product availability; assist with carry outs, and planogram integrity.
• Ensure proper feeding, cleaning, handling, and monitoring of live animals in the store to maintain health, safety, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment for neighbors, team members, and animals, including adherence to sanitation and safety protocols.
