Job summary

LH Mercantile, LLC is a locally owned Pet Supplies Plus franchise offering pet care, grooming and curbside pickup services. The team is focused on delivering a neighborly shopping experience with a strong emphasis on pet knowledge.

The Full-Time Key Team Leader role supports store operations, team coaching, and community outreach, including managing daily coverage and adherence to policies to ensure a welcoming and safe environment for customers and pets.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail experience with leadership potential.
• Genuine passion for pets and interest in pet care.
• Strong communication, leadership, and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide management coverage as the manager-on-duty, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to standards when store leaders are offsite.
• Uphold and reinforce company policies and procedures (animal care, safety, cleanliness, and security) to deliver a consistent, high-quality neighbor experience.
• Perform operational tasks such as signage, price changes, and cashier record updates to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Contribute to recruiting, onboarding, and supporting the development of team members through coaching and daily reinforcement of store expectations.
• Drive social media content, liaison to marketing team, support local events and community outreach.
