Job summary

LH Mercantile, LLC, a Pet Supplies Plus franchisee in the Chicago suburbs, is hiring a part-time team member in Bolingbrook. Join a friendly, pet-loving team and help neighbors pick products, assist with care questions, and support sales initiatives.

You will stock shelves, maintain displays, process transactions, handle returns, and ensure safety and sanitation. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, work weekends/holidays, and share a genuine passion for pets.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to neighbors and assist with product selection.
• Greet customers, handle transactions, returns, and coupon policies.
• Stock shelves, rotate products, maintain displays, and assist with inventory accuracy.
• Ensure proper feeding, care, and monitoring of live animals according to safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to sanitation protocols.

What You do:

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to neighbors, assist with product selection, answer questions about pet care, and support sales initiatives.
• Greet neighbors (customers), collect neighbor data, follow standard operating procedures for cash handling, returns, and coupon policies, etc.
• Stock shelves, rotate products, maintain displays, and assist with receiving and tracking inventory to ensure accuracy and product availability; assist with carry outs, and planogram integrity.
• Ensure proper feeding, cleaning, handling, and monitoring of live animals in the store to maintain health, safety, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment for neighbors, team members, and animals, including adherence to sanitation and safety protocols.
