Job summary

LH Mercantile, LLC is hiring a full-time Pet Care Team Member to deliver friendly, knowledgeable service and help customers choose products. You’ll stock shelves, maintain displays, and assist with inventory while ensuring live animals are cared for safely and responsibly.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a true passion for pets, with a common-sense approach to store operations and neighbor-focused service.

Qualifications

• Pet care passion and interest in pet nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service and assist with product selection.
• Greet customers, collect neighbor data, cash handling, returns and coupon policies.
• Stock shelves, maintain displays, and assist with inventory management.
• Ensure proper feeding, cleaning, handling, and monitoring of live animals.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and sanitation protocols.

What You do:

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to neighbors, assist with product selection, answer questions about pet care, and support sales initiatives.
• Greet neighbors (customers), collect neighbor data, follow standard operating procedures for cash handling, returns, and coupon policies, etc.
• Stock shelves, rotate products, maintain displays, and assist with receiving and tracking inventory to ensure accuracy and product availability; assist with carry outs, and planogram integrity.
• Ensure proper feeding, cleaning, handling, and monitoring of live animals in the store to maintain health, safety, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment for neighbors, team members, and animals, including adherence to sanitation and safety protocols.
