Job summary

Nisqually Red Wind Casino in Olympia, WA seeks a Kitchen Team Member to prepare items for the Team Member Dining Room and the Main Kitchen. You will open, maintain, and close the dining area, ensuring food quality and sanitation.

This role requires at least 1 year in a kitchen, a Food Handlers Permit, and the ability to work all shifts including weekends. Successful candidates may need to obtain a Class II gaming license, and NRWC offers benefits and career growth.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a kitchen facility.
• Food Handlers Permit is required.
• Knowledge of occupational safety and food safety guidelines.
• Must pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
• Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to obtain a Class II gaming license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for the Team Member Dining Room and Main Kitchen daily.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and TDR.
• Monitor food temperatures and rotate items properly.
• Coordinate with Main Kitchen on updates and menu changes.
• Comply with OSHA and HACCP standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for food preparation and for opening, maintaining, cleaning, and closing the Team Member Dining Room (TDR).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

• Knowledge of departmental Guest Service Standards.
• Knowledge of casino promotions.
• Prepare both TDR and Main Kitchen food items for daily service.
• Cold and hot wells are kept clean and well maintained throughout shift.
• Responsible for all food items being rotated.
• Monitor food temperatures on all hot and cold foods.
• Ensure food quality and quantity in food service area.
• Communicate with Main Kitchen regarding updates and menu changes.
• Responsible for all food items and paper products being stocked in the TDR.
• Clean all areas of kitchen and TDR to maintain the highest standards of food, equipment and facility sanitation.
• Ensure work areas are in compliance with OSHA and HACCP health and safety standards and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
