Job summary

Wind Creek Wetumpka is seeking a Kitchen Worker to keep dishware, glassware, and cooking equipment clean and ready for food production. You will assist with food prep under the Culinary Team and support daily kitchen operations.

The role requires adherence to hygiene standards, reliability, and willingness to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. A Tribal Gaming license or ability to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and able to complete GED within six months from start date as a condition of continued employment
• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
• Willingness and ability to bend, squat and lift up to 50 lbs on a regular and frequent basis
• Ability to adequately and successfully perform all aspects of this position
• Must possess a high level of maturity, dependability, and punctuality
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Willing to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
• Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
• Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment

The Kitchen Worker is responsible for cleaning the plate ware, glassware, cooking equipment and utensils involved with the food production and operation of the restaurant program. The Kitchen Worker also assists with the preparation of food products a directed by the Culinary Team leadership.
