Job summary

Popeyes is seeking a Cook – Team Member to join our kitchen, delivering hot, fresh and flavorful food in a clean, safe environment. You will follow Popeyes standards, manage portions, and support the team during busy times.

Ideal candidates have 6 months in QSR, a high school diploma or GED, and availability for evenings and weekends. Prior POS and ServSafe are a plus; growth opportunities exist within the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months’ experience in the QSR industry.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Availability to work peak hours including evenings and weekends.
• Familiarity with a POS system and ServSafe certification preferred.
• Strong teamwork and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to Popeyes standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain sanitary workstations.
• Support kitchen flow during peak service periods.
• Deliver high-quality food with Popeyes Cajun Hospitality.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

As a Cook – Team Member at Popeyes, you play a critical role in delivering the brand promise of hot, fresh, and flavorful food in a clean, safe, and efficient environment. You are responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to Popeyes® standards, following established recipes, portion controls, and food safety guidelines. You will operate kitchen equipment safely, maintain organized and sanitary workstations, and support overall kitchen flow during peak service periods. This role requires consistency, speed, and attention to detail to ensure every guest receives high-quality food prepared with Popeyes® famous Cajun Hospitality.

What You’ll Bring (Requirements):

• Minimum of 6 months’ experience in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry, currently preferred.
• High school diploma or GED, preferred.
• Availability to work within open hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends).
• Familiarity with a POS system and ServSafe certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of team leadership and positive conflict resolution.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to withstand the physical demands a restaurant environment holds.
• Must be 18 years or older.
