Job summary

Popeyes® is seeking a Cook – Team Member to join our kitchen crew. You’ll prepare and cook Popeyes menu items, follow recipes, and ensure portions meet standards while maintaining safety and cleanliness. Strong teamwork and communication help deliver fast, friendly service.

Role requires flexibility for open hours and the physical demands of a busy kitchen; ServSafe knowledge and POS experience are a plus. Join us in a fast-paced, welcoming environment where guests are treated with Cajun

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months’ experience in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry.
• Familiarity with a POS system and ServSafe certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of team leadership and positive conflict resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to withstand the physical demands of a restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to Popeyes standards, following recipes and portion controls.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain sanitary workstations.
• Support overall kitchen flow during peak service periods.
• Deliver high-quality food with Popeyes Cajun Hospitality.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

As a Cook – Team Member at Popeyes, you play a critical role in delivering the brand promise of hot, fresh, and flavorful food in a clean, safe, and efficient environment. You are responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to Popeyes® standards, following established recipes, portion controls, and food safety guidelines. You will operate kitchen equipment safely, maintain organized and sanitary workstations, and support overall kitchen flow during peak service periods. This role requires consistency, speed, and attention to detail to ensure every guest receives high-quality food prepared with Popeyes® famous Cajun Hospitality.

What You’ll Bring (Requirements):

• Minimum of 6 months’ experience in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry, currently preferred.
• High school diploma or GED, preferred.
• Availability to work within open hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends).
• Familiarity with a POS system and ServSafe certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of team leadership and positive conflict resolution.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to withstand the physical demands a restaurant environment holds.
• Must be 18 years or older.
