Job summary

Popeyes is hiring a Cook–Team Member to deliver high-quality food in a clean, safe kitchen. You will prepare and cook items to Popeyes standards, manage portions, and follow safety guidelines.

This role requires fast service, teamwork, and attention to detail in a busy environment. Training is provided, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ experience in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Availability to work within open hours (evenings, holidays, weekends).
• Familiarity with a POS system and ServSafe certification is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of team leadership and positive conflict resolution.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to withstand the physical demands of a restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items to Popeyes standards, following recipes, portion controls and food safety guidelines.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain sanitary, organized workstations.
• Support overall kitchen flow during peak service periods.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

As a Cook – Team Member at Popeyes, you play a critical role in delivering the brand promise of hot, fresh, and flavorful food in a clean, safe, and efficient environment. You are responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to Popeyes® standards, following established recipes, portion controls, and food safety guidelines. You will operate kitchen equipment safely, maintain organized and sanitary workstations, and support overall kitchen flow during peak service periods. This role requires consistency, speed, and attention to detail to ensure every guest receives high‑quality food prepared with Popeyes® famous Cajun Hospitality.

What You’ll Bring (Requirements)
