Job summary

Vitality Bowls in Santa Clara is hiring for a team member to help serve guests and prepare food with a focus on quality and quick service.

You will handle orders, operate the POS, maintain a clean workspace, follow safety guidelines, and assist with prep and stocking while delivering friendly, accurate service to every customer.

Qualifications

• Become food certified
• 1 year of food experience preferred
• Must be able to operate a POS system; handle cash and cards
• Follow health, sanitary, and safety requirements
• Must be able to stand, lift boxes, and move quickly
• Must have a sense of urgency

Responsibilities

• Explain health benefits of ingredients and food to customers after training
• Provide excellent customer service; be positive, polite, and informative; give accurate wait times
• Assist and ring up guests, answer calls and take orders over the phone
• Know the food and recipes; follow recipes; prepare food timely and sanitary
• Prep food according to proper procedures
• Continuously and thoroughly clean the kitchen and lobby
• Put away deliveries and keep everything organized
• Follow sanitation guidelines
• Stock and rotate food

Responsibilities

• Review the training material and be able to explain the health benefits of the ingredients and the food to customers in an upbeat and informative manner after the training
• Have excellent customer service, including being positive and extremely polite, and informative to customers, as well as giving accurate wait times
• Assist and ring up guests, answer phone calls and take orders over the phone
• Have a thorough knowledge of the food and recipes. Must be able to follow recipes and make all food in a timely and sanitary manner.

Requirements
