Job summary

Bao by Kaya in New York is seeking a motivated kitchen team member to assist in food prep, cooking, and station maintenance. You will set up workstations, prep orders, cook food in fryer and on grille, check quality, and ensure presentable dishes.

This role requires the ability to work on weekdays, in a fast-paced environment, and to work well in a team. Familiarity with cutting tools, fryer, and cookware is a plus; Food Handlers Certification is preferred.

Preferred

• Familiar with Chinese language and Asian street food are a plus
• Availability to work on Weekday schedule
• Ability to work in a fast pace environment
• Experience in using cutting tools, fryer and other cookware
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods.
• Ability to follow store operation procedures
• Ability to work in a team
• (PLUS) Food Handlers Certification

Physical Requirements:

Ability to read and comprehend information at a close range at a close range, and follow instructions accurately andefficiently

Ability to use electronic systems, such as computers and tablets.

Be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.

Continuously bend, reach, twist, and use your hands and arms.

Operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
