Job summary

Panera LLC in Madison, WI is seeking a Team Manager Lead to guide the bakery-cafe’s leadership team, ensuring guest experiences meet Panera’s high standards of service.

You will coach and develop staff, lead shifts in a fast-paced setting, and help drive sales, quality, and speed while upholding food safety and a welcoming culture.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of restaurant management experience preferred.
• Ability to lead shifts in a fast-paced environment.
• ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain).
• Flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure every guest is delighted by the quality of food, service, and staff.
• Develop engaging relationships that build long‑term, loyal guests.
• Lead, manage, and develop team members by coaching, inspiring, and motivating them to exceed goals in sales, speed, order accuracy, and guest experience.
• Participate in interviewing and selection process.
• Train the team in food safety standards and oversee compliance.
• Help build a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust.
• Stand and walk up to 6 hours, lift/carry up to 25 pounds, and clearly communicate in a loud environment.
