Position Overview

In this role, the Team Leader – Sr. Finance Sales Associate will lead a team of International Financial sales consultants to help finance trucks and tractors for the International Used Truck Organization. Additionally, the team leader will be responsible for growing finance margin and a book of used truck finance business to reach International Financial goals. Also, training Used Truck Salespeople in International Financial systems and standards to build trust in relationships. International’s used truck organization has 10 locations across the continental United States. This role is key to the success of International Financial and the Used Truck Organization.

Navistar Financial Company (NFC) is the captive finance company for International Motors, LLC* and the provider of InternationalTMFinancial services.


Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for a team of International Financial sales consultants to help sell used trucks by closing finance loan transactions for the used truck organization sales team.
  • Insures the timely submission of credit transactions for informed and rapid responses.
  • Manage 3rd-party lending vendor relationships
  • Work together with the used truck sales organization, used truck customers and International Financials' departments to create an efficient and seamless financial review process.
  • Track portfolio performance and credit risk management strategy results
  • Ability to interact with various functional departments and collaborating in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Focus on the customer first with communications on troubleshooting, reporting, and tracking problems in systems and provide feedback to management.
  • Maintains and improves customer records and recommends improved policies and procedures to improve efficiency and eliminate waste.
  • Updates job knowledge by studying new financing product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of International Financials credit policy, evaluate risk on leading and lending products, and recognize customer eligibility to successfully submit credit/application packages.
  • Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
  • Explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Supports both outbound and Inbound customer calling with the Sales Consultants.
  • In field visits may be required. (Travel up to 25%)

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 2 years of accounting or finance experience

OR

  • Master’s degree
  • At least 1 year of accounting or finance experience

OR

  • At least 5 years of accounting or finance experience

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)

Desired Skills

  • Previous Sales Management experience
  • Transportation finance experience or OEM Captive Finance experience
  • Positive attitude, ethics and values with respect for people
  • Team manager and a self-starter with positive attitude with ability to manage ambiguity
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications
  • Commercial Lending and Leasing experience required (Transportation Finance experience is a plus)
  • Credit Underwriting experience is a plus
  • Previous experience as part of a start-up is a plus
