Job summary

SCC in Birmingham is seeking a Team Leader for Refurbishment Services to lead and coordinate refurbishment, testing, grading, repair and asset recovery, maximizing value of customer IT and AV assets.

You will drive operational excellence, quality and customer satisfaction while ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, data security and company procedures; coordinating workloads and meeting SLAs in a hybrid office/home model.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Refurbishment Services team, providing day-to-day direction, support and operational leadership.
• Oversee all refurbishment, testing, grading, repair and cosmetic restoration activities to ensure customer assets are processed efficiently and effectively.
• Plan and schedule workloads, staffing and resources to ensure all customer OLA, SLA and project commitments are achieved.
• Ensure customer equipment is refurbished, configured, cleaned, tested and packaged to the highest quality standards for reuse, redeployment or resale.
• Maximise asset recovery and resale value through effective grading, repair decisions and refurbishment processes.
• Act as a key operational point of contact for designated customer refurbishment projects and service requirements.
• Coordinate project activities, priorities and resources to ensure customer expectations and delivery milestones are achieved.
• Implement and maintain robust quality control procedures to ensure consistency, functionality and presentation standards across all refurbished assets.
• Monitor and drive departmental KPI performance, productivity levels, quality metrics and operational efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and operational support to team members, assisting with fault diagnosis, repair processes and refurbishment best practice.
• Develop, coach and train team members to ensure appropriate skill levels, competency standards and operational flexibility are maintained.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements, Safe Systems of Work, Traffic Management Plans and all company operational procedures.
• Maintain a strong security culture, ensuring customer assets are handled securely and all operational processes remain compliant with customer and company requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on refurbishment quality, process efficiency, asset recovery rates, customer satisfaction and team performance whilst delivering regular team briefings and participating in Team Leader meetings.

Job description

Location: Birmingham (SCC operate hybrid working, which comprises of a mix of office and home working), Role purpose: The purpose of the Team Leader - Refurbishment Services role is to lead and coordinate all refurbishment, testing, grading, repair and asset recovery activities within Recyclea. The role is responsible for maximising the value of customer IT and AV assets through effective refurbishment processes, ensuring equipment is restored to the highest possible standard for reuse, redeployment or resale. The Team Leader will drive operational excellence, quality, productivity, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with all company, customer and regulatory requirements. Secure data sanitisation forms part of the asset lifecycle but remains secondary to the refurbishment and value recovery focus of the role.
