Woodlands Pet Food & Treats is hiring a Pet-Passionate Team Leader (key-holder) for its Tiburon location. This full-time role involves supervising staff, delivering excellent customer service, and working across three local stores, with training and shifts spanning mornings, evenings, and weekends.

You’ll help pets and their owners with high-quality foods and supplies. Compensation reflects retail leadership responsibilities; the job includes a comprehensive training program and the opportunity

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and their pets; provide thoughtful service and advice.

GUT-CHECK / SUMMARY:We're looking for full-time (30 to 40 hours/week) key-holders with retail experience and a desire to develop a long-term career. You're a smart, high-energy, positive-minded pet lover. Maybe your skills have gone unnoticed at Petco or PFE, and you think you'd be a better fit at a smaller store more intensely focused on helping pets and their owners. Or maybe you're currently under-appreciated in a larger corporate retail environment and would like to have more of an impact on your store. We'll train you about the pet world and our role in it.

You are applying to our Tiburon store. Interviews and Basic Training take place in our Novato store. After training, most of your shifts will be in your Home Store, but you will get to work in all 3 locations (Tiburon, Greenbrae, and Novato).

• Strong interest in the diet of pets, and all aspects of pet care
• Volunteered and/or supported non-profit animal rescue organizations

Basic Duties: (for everyone)

• Greet customers & pets:Be the reason they don't want to shop online!
• Provide thoughtful customer service & advice
• Opening / Closing tasks
• Retail Cashier
• Clean the pet wash
• Carry customer purchases out to the car
• Keep the store neat, clean, and orderly
• Feed and cleanup after the store cats

Key-Holder / Manager Duties:

All of the above, plus:

• Open and Close the stores, as scheduled
• Execute opening and closing procedures
• Provide clear, helpful direction to other team members
• Handle sticky customer situations
• Make daily bank deposits
• Accurately check-in load on delivery days and make sure it is stocked properly on the floor
• Seek out pet-related information for you and your team

This position it typically full-time (5 days and 31 to 40 hours per week). As a retail store, everyone is expected to be able to work during the day, evenings, and on weekends. We have three locations, and you will be scheduled to work in all, but Tiburon will be your "home store."
