Job summary

Pet-Pros-3 is seeking a Store Associate who blends genuine care for customers and pets with reliable store operations. You will welcome shoppers, suggest products, and ensure a clean, well-merchandised store.

The role supports learning inventory, handling transactions, and participating in training and meetings. Flexible shifts are available; full-time or part-time, non-exempt, reporting to the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• No minimum education or formal training required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly accountable, ethical, with strong integrity.
• Ability to thrive in a retail/service environment with shifting priorities.
• Comfortable with computers; basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Able to lift and carry 50 lbs; teamwork for heavier items.
• Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping.
• Able to climb a step stool or ladder to reach stock.
• Reliable transportation.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Motivating, positive, helpful attitude with a desire to learn.
• Ability to stand and stay active for full shifts.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers throughout the shopping experience.
• Provide product recommendations fitting the pet and owner.
• Address customer questions and concerns promptly; escalate when needed.
• Handle point-of-sale transactions accurately.
• Follow deposits, cash handling, and end-of-shift reconciliation procedures.
• Learn inventory tasks: receiving, stocking, cycle counting, and facing.
• Keep sales floor stocked and merchandised to company standards.
• Implement promotional strategies and signage updates.
• Maintain store cleanliness and participate in meetings.
• Support Store Manager in onboarding new associates.
