Woodlands Pet Food & Treats in Greenbrae, CA is hiring a Pet-Passionate Retail Sales Associate for part-time roles (20–30 hours weekly). Now Hiring & Training: Pet-Passionate Retail Sales Associate

GUT-CHECK / SUMMARY

We're looking for part-time employees with retail experience and a desire to develop a long-term career. You're a smart, high-energy, positive-minded pet lover. Maybe your skills have gone unnoticed at Petco or PFE, and you think you'd be a better fit at a smaller store more intensely focused on helping pets and their owners. Or maybe you're currently under-appreciated in a larger corporate retail environment and would like to have more of an impact on your store. We'll train you about the pet world and our role in it.

You are applying to our Greenbrae store.

Interviews and Basic Training take place in our Novato store. After training, most of your shifts will be in your Home Store, but you will get to work in all 3 locations (Greenbrae, Tiburon, and Novato).

At this time, we are only considering people who are available long term. This is not a seasonal position.

Required (do not respond if you can't answer yes to all)

• Do you have a contagious enthusiasm for pets & people?
• Are you willing & able to work weekday mornings, evenings, and weekends?
• Are you willing & able to start work before 9 AM and/or end after 7:30 PM?
• Can you regularly lift & carry 50 lbs without concern?
• Do you love to learn about animals and pet care?
• We have stores in Tiburon, Greenbraeand Novato. Do you have the means to get to each of these locations?
• Retail or business experience related to pets
• Familiarity with holistic & healthy pet foods
• Strong interest in the diet of pets, and all aspects of pet care
• Volunteered and/or supported non-profit animal rescue organizations

Basic Duties (for everyone)

• Greeting customers & pets
• Providing thoughtful customer service & advice
• Opening / Closing tasks
• Retail Cashier
• Cleaning the pet wash
• Carrying customer purchases out to the car
• Feed, change litter and clean kennels for store cats
• Keeping the store neat, clean, and orderly

There are part-time positions available, between 20 and 30 hours per week. There is always the opportunity to pick up more shifts, if you are motivated to do so. As a retail store, everyone is expected to be able to work during the day, evenings, and weekends. We have three locations, and you will be scheduled to work in all three stores, but your "home store" will be Greenbrae.
